Led a team of 8 to automate business-critical batch processing with BMC Control-M for an automobile manufacturer, and automated AS/400 tape backup reporting.
Manufacturing depended on batch jobs that were checked by hand, and tape backup results on an AS/400 were verified manually.
I led a team of 8 running BMC Control-M and Operations Control scheduling, and automated the business-critical batch processes. For the AS/400 (IBM iSeries) I wrote RPG and DB2 programs that monitor BRMS tape backups and produce the report.
Manufacturing batch work ran with less manual effort and less operational risk. Backup compliance became auditable without manual checks.
Migrated, consolidated and modernised infrastructure across 7 US sites and 6 global data centres: over 150 ESXi hosts and over 1,500 Windows servers.
Designed and administered Exchange 2013, 2016 and 2019 hybrid with DAG alongside over 70,000 Microsoft 365 mailboxes at 99.5 percent uptime.
A repeatable patching process for servers and end-user devices that met compliance deadlines and closed an audit gap.
